Topic: Members: $10 - - - Prospective Members & Guests: $20 ========================================= "How to Protect Your Company & Your Employees Against Identity Theft"

This is a workshop that clearly shows what is happening in the world with identity theft and what every company and leader should know about all areas of this heinous crime. Dr. Smith will discuss some of the scams currently affecting your employees, which changes almost daily. Identity theft and legal issues currently account for over 60% of absenteeism.

Learning Objectives:
With over 27,000 victims of identity theft every day, this workshop will attempt to educate the Human Resource professionals on red flags to watch for that could indicate a security breach. It will also help them to become aware of potential problem areas that employees may be facing in their personal and professional lives.

Dr. Judy Smith has practiced psychology in Missouri for over 15 years. She is a Certified Risk Management Specialist with Harvard Risk Management, Corp., a certified economic developer with the International Economic Development Council (CEcD), a licensed commercial real estate broker and she served on the Governor's Highway task force and was a member of the Kansas Tourism Commission and Kansas Film Commission. Dr. Judy speaks to groups all over the world on cruise ships and in civic organizations and has taught many courses in colleges and universities throughout the country. Dr. Smith has 7 children and 30 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons which she says is her greatest accomplishment. Judy has published several articles in APA journals on Violence in the Schools and has been invited to speak to several congressional committees in Washington, D.C. As a former Chamber of Commerce Executive she realizes the problems companies face with attracting and retaining an excellent and productive workforce.
