Many of the difficulties we attribute to individuals in our workplace are actually predicable happenings bound to occur in any kind of organization.ᅠ They result from the way the organization is put together in levels of tops, middles and bottoms.

And because they are predictable, there are things we can do to prevent them or to lessen their impact. ᅠ

D. Beth Macy, PhD, Macy Holdings, LLC, is an organizational consultant who has worked extensively in the oil and gas industry as well as in healthcare. She has been a facilitator and author regarding David Bohm's Dialogue process for more than 20 years.

The common thread throughout Dr. Macy's work history has been change. Thru most of her work life, she has been a manager or leader dealing with organizations experiencing difficult issues. The types of organizations she has lead, managed or consulted with have varied from small to large, private to public, non-profit to profit, health care to manufacturing. Early in her career, Dr. Macy's curiosity about effective change lead her to achieving masters and doctorate degrees in management focusing on organizational behavior and organizational theory. Developing her own competencies first as a manager and as a leader, she then shifted to her long-time aspiration of coaching and consulting other organizational leaders.

HRCI: This program has been submitted for pre-approval for 1.00 (General) recertification credit hour toward California, GPHR, HRBP, HRMP, PHR and SPHR recertification through HRCI.
